Pacific International Music traveled to Los Angeles recently for a string of promotions and television performances in support of Siobhan Magnus’ recent release Moonbaby.

First, Siobhan and Chaise Flanders shot an acoustic performance in a piece for Yahoo Music Channel. The duo next appeared at The Grove for a segment on Extra! The episode will air in mid April. Stay tuned for programming updates and schedules.

Mitzi Dawn New Single On iTunes

Gearing up for her first major artist release, PIM artist Mitzi Dawn is currently on a radio promotion tour across the country to support her first video and single “Razorblades & Whiskey.” A veteran Nashville Top 40 songwriter, Mitzi’s songs have been recorded by Jeff Bates, Adam Gregory, Alabama’s Randy Owen and actor Billy Bob Thorton, among a host of other artists.

Trainwrecks And Pink Clouds reveals a much different side of the songwriter; a heart-hitting collection of songs she felt was too personal for other artists to record. “If you’ve never taken a drug, had a broken heart, made a mistake, or cried yourself to sleep, then you may have a hard time relating. For the rest of the world, this record is for you,” states Mitzi.

The record is the result of Mitzi’s personal struggles and triumphs over the last five years, bursting with themes ranging from addiction and torment to love and redemption. Recorded in Nashville over a year; the album was produced by Michael Flanders, whose previous projects include Jill King and Siobhan Magnus.

Trainwrecks and Pink Clouds is being released independently on Pacific International Music’s label Organic Music Revolution. The first single and video Razorblades & Whiskey is available on iTunes, and the album is scheduled for release February 14th, 2012.

PIM writer Chaise Flanders has added another accolade to her distinguished career with a song she co-wrote with Mary Loving. The Australian artist Luella’s performance of “Not Thinking About You” has won the March SingerUniverse “Best Vocalist of the Month” Competition. USA Songwriting Competition

Pacific International Writers Chaise Flanders and Doug Stokes have won First Prize (Country) in the 2010 USA Songwriting Competition for their song “Lighthouse.”

Winners are selected by a Blue Ribbon committee of music industry judges including record label publishers, producers, A&R from Universal Music, Warner, EMI, Sony Music, and other distinguished professionals.

See Chaise and Doug perform their winning song at the USA Songwriting Competion’s Showcase at the Bluebird Cafe on Thursday, May 5th at 6pm. Admission is Free, so come on by.

Siobhan Magnus

Pacific International’s own Mike Flanders has just finished a session producing singer-songwriter Siobhan Magnus of American Idol fame. Considered one of the front-runners of the ninth Idol season, the Massachusetts native became a crowd favorite for a multitude of viewers last summer.

While still playing with her band, Lunar Valve, Magnus’ PIM project is one of her first ventures as a solo artist. The Rock/Indie-styled collaboration has produced four singles so far, with two penned by Chaise Flanders and Magnus and another two by Mitzi Dawn, Mike Flanders, and Magnus.

Gal Friday To Record Debut Album at PIM This October

After the band’s intensive writing trip to Nashville this August, Gal Friday is gearing up to record their new Album this October, to be produced by Michael Flanders. The group has been singing together their entire lives with a love for country, southern rock and bluegrass music that stems from their southern roots and family heritage. Their sound is an irreverent marriage of southern rock, country, grit and banjo. The group pulls their inspiration from their love of Bonnie Rait, Wynona Judd, New Grass Revival, the Allman Brothers Band, Miranda Lambert and others.
